Description

Robert Knight Eaton (1883 - 1949) graduated from Bowdoin College in 1905 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He married Lena Brayton August 15, 1908 and had two children, Russell and Roxana.

Robert became an apprentice machinist in Whitinsville, Massachusetts from 1906 - 1909. He was an assistant superintendent at Ashuburnham, Massachusetts from 1909 - 1910. Mr. Eaton was an agent's assistant at Cabot Manufacturing Company in Brunswick from 1910 - 1923. He served to 1st Lieutenant USA 1917 - 1918. He then went to the textile school, Clemson College, from 1923 - 1949, then retiring in Clemson, South Carolina.
