The location of this photograph appears to be where Academy Street crossed the railroad track in Hallowell.

The back of the photograph identifies Samuel Glazier Jewell as the driver of the American Express wagon. Samuel Jewell was born in 1875, the son of hair dresser Dan Jewell.
