Large stacks of lumber already milled are piled at the end of a soggy dirt street and surrounded by homes in a neighborhood of Biddeford or Saco around 1915. Workers bustle around a wagon close by the end of the lane, with two onlookers standing alongside. An unidentified factory building can be seen in the left rear.
