Description

The sawmill crew is seated on a large log in front of the sawmill. There are five men seated there holding some of the tools of their trade, in front of a sawtooth blade on the ground immediately in front of them. There is a sixth man seated to the right, not dressed in working clothes who may have been a manager of this unit. The location of this sawmill is unknown. The photographer lived in Waterville and Biddeford, so it is possible that the image may have been taken in either of those areas.
