Description

As P.L. Pert describes in "The Times of Bath" from October of 1996, buildings on the right or east side of the photograph include the City Hall Smoke Shop, Colonial Cafe, Freeman's Barber Shop, Central Maine Power Company, and the headquarters of the Bath Daily Times. The buildings on the left or west side of the street include J.J. Newberry, Hallet's Drug Store, Endicott-Johnson shoes, A.G. Page Jewelers, Senter's Dept. Store, and Burnham's Auto Supply. Most of these buildings were rebuilt after the devastating fire of 1894.
