Description
Daniel E. Kerr of Portland received a patent on Feb. 6, 1917 for a curtain-shade roller and connectors.
He filed the application for the patent on Oct. 2, 1915.
The text of the application notes that the invention "relates to new and useful improvements in means for connecting shade rollers and has for its primary object the provision of a device of this character which will firmly connect a shade to a shade roller and one which is simple in construction, cheap to manufacture, strong and durable and positive in operation."
Kerr worked as a sign painter.
