International Steamship Landing, Lubec, 1893

Description

S.S. Cumberland, visible in the background, carried the first steamship passengers from Boston to Lubec on August 31, 1893. The new landing, built with funds raised by local businessmen, enabled large steamers to dock in Lubec for the first time.
