Description

George Washington Pierce describes his studies at law school in Northampton, Massachusetts, to his brother, Josiah, a lawyer in Gorham.

They grew up in Baldwin and both attended Bowdoin College. Josiah graduated in 1818 and George in 1824.

George dated the letter April 7, 1826. His brother changed the date to May 7, 1826 before filing it.
