Description

The 5-masted schooner Edna Hoyt was one of the last two big vessels built by Dunn and Elliot in Thomaston. She also has the distinction of being one of three 5-masted schooners built in Thomaston, the only one built by Dunn and Elliot. She was built at a cost of $200,000, and launched on December 11, 1920. After World War I and the end of coastal trading, she was sold in 1924 for $25,000.
