Description
Arthur Gould built this grand home in Presque Isle on Dyer Street just North of Park Street. The home is no longer in existence.
Gould was a well-known visionary businessman and politician. He founded the Aroostook Valley Railroad, owned a lumber company, managed the electric company and served as both a state and United States Senator. He harnessed the power of the Aroostook Falls and brought electric street lights to Presque Isle.
