Interior of the Model School, Farmington, 1884

The Model School was a place where elementary school children from Farmington were taught by school teachers-in-training at The Normal School.

The town did not have to provide education for the children of the community because they were receiving their education at The Normal School. The teacher was Miss Johnson, this was the fall term.
