Crane on Christmas tree, Presque Isle, 1959

In 1959 a 70-foot white spruce tree from Presque Isle was selected to become the National Christmas tree in Washington D.C.

In this picture, the crane is attached to the tree before it is cut down. The tree was from the farm of Alice Kimball, Parson Road.
