Description
Fort Hill Street in Fort Fairfield winds up the hill from Main Street to the location of the blockhouse that was built for the defense of the area during the Aroostook War.
This image is contained in the nine volume published collection of photogravure images titled, "Artwork of Aroostook County, Maine," v. 2, W. H. Parish Publishing Co., Chicago, 1895. A complete set of volumes is owned by the Mark and Emily Turner Memorial Library, Presque Isle, ME.
