Parsons or Elder Neighborhood School, New Portland, ca. 1930

Description

The Parsons school was located in the East Village of New Portland. It was built around 1875 and operated until 1943. Kindergarten through 6th grade attended this school. During mud season, the school would close due to being located on a dirt road.
