Act to discontinue court during Indian war, 1695

Description

An act of the Province of Massachusetts to suspend courts in Hampshire and York during the Indian War of 1695.

The Superior Court of Indicature of the Eastern and Western Circuits was suspended because of "Indians lying Sculking about in the Woods" and causing danger to the public passing them.

The Common Pleas courts remained in session.
