Description

Maude Fisher accompanied the MacMillan Expedition of 1926.

Prior to leaving, MacMillan had told the crowd the "...in the old days it was customary for exploring ships to go out in pairs, and that they were sister ships. The extra vessel was there for the purpose of bringing the men back if anything happened to the other, while they were identical so that the gear of one might be utilized in the other."
