Description

Nathaniel Sparhawk wrote to William Pepperrell of Kittery, then in New York as major general of His Majesty's Forces.

Sparhawk was married to Pepperrell's daughter, Elizabeth.

Sparhawk complains about the Massachusetts General Court being kept in session and tells Pepperrell that a war with France is all but inevitable.
