Aftermath of the Rock End Hotel Fire, March 1942

Description

The Rock End Hotel, a landmark in Northeast Harbor, stood for nearly 60 years and was a very popular hotel. On March 4, 1942 the hotel burned to the ground. No cause was ever identified. This photograph was taken the day after the hotel burned.
