Description
South Portland Fire Department Engine 2 at the time of its delivery in December 1948.
The truck is a 750-gallon-per-minute Mack pumper that was used by the government during World War II and secured through war surplus by the department.
Pvt. Llewellyn M. McGouldrick is the driver, with Fire Chief Horace S. Jose at left and city councilors Gerald Lord and Henry Boland next to him.
The truck was assigned to the Pillsbury Street station.
