Description

Loammi Baldwin (1744-1807) of Woburn, Massachusetts, a Flintstown proprietor, writes to fellow proprietor and business partner Josiah Pierce (1756-1830) in Flintstown about his petition to incorporate the town, which was too late in the court's session to be dealt with.

He notes that the court suggested the town be named "Baldwin" after him.
