Description

The Union badges which belonged to Union Journeymen Stonecutters from Frankfort and Waldoboro, Maine were worn during their monthy meetings. Some of the topics members met to discuss were working conditions, pay, to elect officers and to approve apprentices to the Journeyman Stonecutters. An important job of the Union was to elect a Steward who would collect donations from the members for a brother who might be sick and unable to work.
