Bush Hammer

Description

Commonly known as the Bushing Hammer, made of four, six, eight, ten or more thin blades of steel, bolted together as to form a single piece, the striking faces of which are deepy and sharply grooved. There were four granite tool companies in Maine producing these hammers, Livingstone (later Bicknell) in Rockland, H. H. Harvey in Augusta, B. Kelley & Co. and Belfast Machine and Foundry Co. in Belfast.
