Description

Harris D. Colt, a New York City lawyer, on the steps of a cabin at the Parmachenee Club on Caribou Island on Parmachenee Lake.

The private hunting-fishing club was first built along the Magalloway River. When a paper company dam flooded the area, the club moved to Treat's Island.

The club sought to preserve the woods and wildlife.
