Description
The new camp for the Forest Department fire watchman at Tumbledown Mountain. Fred L. Hutchins, the watchman, built the camp in 1925.
A resident of Stratton, Hutchins was a well-known artist and photographer as well as the watchman. His trail from Tumbledown Mountain to Kibby Mountain was known as "Hutch's Trail." He routinely walked to Kibby, then out to Stratton.
