Warping silk, Haskell Silk Company, 1907

Description

A woman is engaged in the first stage of warping silk at the Haskell Silk Company mill in Westbrook, 1907. From the bobbins on the creel rack on the right, silk is wound onto the reel at the left.

From the reel, it is transferred to the loom beam.
