Sts. Peter and Paul Basilica, Lewiston, 2005

Saints Peter and Paul Parish in Lewiston was founded in 1871 to serve the increasing numbers of French Canadian immigrants. The Dominican Order was responsible for the church. The current building was constructed beginning in 1934. The original church was demolished because it was too small.
