Harris D. Colt letter from Parmachenee, 1918

Description

Harris D. Colt, 17, of New York City, wrote to his mother from Parmachenee, a hunting-fishing club on Caribou Island on Parmachenee Lake.

The private club began in 1890.

Colt describes the process of getting to the island, the cabins and the dining hall.
