Collar made by Persis Sibley, ca. 1840

Description

This collar was made by Persis Sibley (1813-1891), who grew up in Freedom. This collar is just one example of Sibley's sewing skill. Before her marriage to Charles Andrews in 1842, she also taught school and was an avid student.
