Description

This photograph was taken about 1909. The car is a 1907 Reo; the driver is not identified.

The building in the background was the Brown Block at the corner of Main and Kimball Streets. O.W. Brown's hardware store was in the shop to the right while Alfred Lemlin's clothing store was on the left.

Lemlin owned the store from 1904 to 1915 when he moved to Rochester. In 1920, Charles Diggery and Edwin Thayer purchased the store and named it the Thayer-Diggery Co.
