Description
This ticket to the Oxford Bear Association reunion, held at the Falmouth Hotel March 7, 1883.
The Sons and Daughters of Oxford County adopted the symbol of the bear, which began as a partisan attack on Western Maine Democrats, but later became an important sign of Oxford County identity.
The first Oxford Reunion was held in 1882.
