Description

Built about 1785 by General William Frost, this home's architectural style was originally much like that of the Springvale Public Library (another Frost house). Harmon Allen purchased it about 1900 and completely remodeled it. He lived there until his death in 1958. Thereafter, it became the home of Capt. and Mrs. Albert L. Prosser (Mrs. Prosser was Allen's niece). The Prossers were still living there in 1996 aged 99 and 96 respectively. The house next to the Allen house, moving left, was the home of lawyer George A. Goodwin. Next are the Edmund E. Goodwin house and the Springvale Town Hall.
