Ear Tag Pliers and Ear Tag, c. 1955

Ear tag pliers were used to attach a numbered metal tag to a calf's ear for identification so animal diseases could be tracked. One diseased animal could wipe out a farmer. These ear tag pliers were made by Salt Lake Stamp Company.
