Baseball dinner menu, Lisbon, 1929

Description

A menu from a dinner at Columbia Hall in Lisbon on September 23, 1929.

The dinner was held in honor of the Lisbon Falls American Legion Junior Baseball Team players, who had made the Eastern United States semi-final tournament in Washington, D.C. The autographs of the baseball players appear on the menu.

The players include: Francis Bichrest, short stop; George F. Batchelder, left field; Michael Yecho, pitcher; Andrew Elcik, catcher and Captain; George Davala, right field (sub); Joseph Sherbak, short stop (sub); Bernard Wiles, manager; Howard Reynolds, third base; Walter Yanec, center field; Joe Davala, John Galgovitch, first base; Howard Atwood, right field (sub); Randall Coombs, second base; and Herbert Bowman, coach.

The team was primarily sponsored by Nelson-Conley American Legion Post #66, Lisbon Falls.
