Description

Market Square in Houlton was the end point of an unidentified parade. Firemen and soldiers are still in formation. Posters for a performance of "Rip Van Winkle" are in the background.

Store signs are visible for J. Perry, jeweler and optician; Western Union; H.A. McLellan, Department Store; W.H. McLoon; Ervin & Davenport; Houlton Business College; G.W. Richards & Co.; Hagerman's Piano Parlor; and offices for Dr. Putnam; and Drs. Williams, Hughes and Garrison, dentists.
