Description

A new bank vault arrived in Sanford on a railroad car on January 14, 1915, amidst much publicity.

One pair of horses and 19 yoke of oxen were used to haul it by sled to the new Sanford National Bank building on Main Street (later home of the Sanford Institution of Savings).

A motion-picture company sent a camera to record the event.
