This engraving of Abraham Lincoln, sixteenth president of the United States, was created by the American Bank Note Company. The company created many safety devices for financial documents, such as proprietary inks and specially designed paper and designed the first U.S. postage stamps.
The engraving is from the J.S.H. Fogg Autograph Collection.
