The Curved Dash Runabout was the world’s first mass production automobile. Five thousand sold in 1904. The engine possessed an immense silencer and turned at 50 R.P.M. “one chug per telegraph pole.” The car was also made under license in Germany as the Polymobile and the Ultramobile.
