Size: 12" long with a 5" handle, 1" cutting edge.
Markings: "VAUGHAN PARDOE & CO WARRANTED UNION". Obscured marking.

A gouge has a curved cutting edge at the end of of a blade and is used to cut or pare solid material such as metal or wood.
