Pearl and Congress, Portland, 1845

Charles Quincy Goodhue (1835-1910) captured Portland as it looked before the 1866 fire.

The drawing shows the First Baptist Church, the John Harris House behind it and the Samuel F. Hussey House next to that. The entire area was burned in the fire.
