Description

Clyde Smith bought the Pooler Mansion in Skowhegan in 1927 and Margaret Chase Smith moved in there three years later when she and Clyde married. The photo shows the arched doorway separating the side and front halls. Beside the mirror at the left of the hall, the arched alcove contains a built-in washbowl. The house is now the site of the Redington-Fairview Hospital.
