Description

Written on the back of the photo:
2-30 A.M. Sunday, July 7, 1901, off Morse's Cove.
Mate: (pointing to wind'ard with a scared-want-to-go-home-look), "What's that frush fence off there?",
Capt: "Wall, wonder who's pasture weir in anyway?",
Mate: (trembling so the boat rocks), "It has a most weird effect, don't you think so?"
Capt: "Stow that, you make me weiry"!!
Mate: (with a long drawn sigh of relief), "Well, weir all right now, anyway"!!
(Both dodge, successfully, one the tiller, the other the sand bag, thrown with intent to injure.)
