Phippsburg Congregational Church, 1962

Description

The Phippsburg Congregational Church on Gun Hill at the Kennebec River was built in 1802 and completely remodeled in 1847. It has corner pilasters and entablature, a three-bay front, gable roof with tower, an open plan with the narthex under the rear gallery and "carpenter Greek" and "carpenter Gothic" details.
