Governor Abner Coburn, ca. 1880

Description

Governor Coburn was a great benefactor to the town of Skowhegan. In partnership with his brother, Philander, he operated a land and timber business under the name, A&P Coburn. After their deaths, the Coburn brothers left many assets to their community, including Coburn Park, the new courthouse and the Skowhegan Free Public Library.
