Description

Grain was harvested in the fall with the seeds still attached to the straw and stored like hay in the barn. During the winter, when there was less to do on a farm, the owner of the machine traveled from barn to barn to thresh the grain.

This threshing machine, with only the power unit visible, is positioned to do its work. As the grain was being processed it was caught in a half bushel container and then transfered into bags.
