Description

Architecture commission for F. B. W. Welch at 12 Walker Street in Portland, ME, 1938. The commission is associated with John Calvin Stevens and John Howard Stevens Architects. This item is part of the Stevens Architects drawings and records collection.

Col. Frank B. W. Welch was a Military colonel, 1st Regiment, Maine National Guard; affiliated with Loring, Short & Harmon, Portland, Me.; He served as chief of staff on the occasion of the Centennial military parade in 1920 which celebrated the 100th anniversary of Maine's statehood. His wife's name was probably Mary C. Welch.
