Description

Architecture commission for People's Methodist Church at 310 Broadway in South Portland, ME, 1944–1947. The commission is associated with John Howard Stevens and John Calvin Stevens II Architects. This item is part of the Stevens Architects drawings and records collection.

Peoples United Methodist Church dates back to 1853 when the first church was established in Ferry Village. Later in 1948, Peoples UMC was relocated to 310 Broadway and expanded in 1972 to the facility we have today.
