Description

Volume 3 of the Pejepscot Proprietors Papers is the town book of Brunswick, Maine. The volume contains many of the first official records of the division of the lands at Maqoit & Merriconeag Marshes, the construction of town roads, grant of the town commons, land grants, list of inhabitants, receipts, and meeting minutes.

The Town Book documents the evolution of Brunswick in its early stages to its official constitution as a township by the Massachusetts General Court in 1738/39.
