Description
Maine Charitable Mechanic Association (MCMA) presented this medal to WM C. Beckett for the best coat exhibited on July 4, 1826. It is the oldest medal currently in the collection at Mechanics' Hall. It was turned in by Carter Brothers Jewelers, tenants who rented commercial space on the ground floor of the Hall, and was donated by Matson Tinker, a Life Member of the MCMA.
