Description

Architecture commission for F. J. Allen at an unknown address in Sanford, ME, 1904. The commission is associated with John Calvin Stevens and John Howard Stevens Architects. This item is part of the Stevens Architects drawings and records collection.

This is possibly the home of Fred John Allen, a graduate of Bowdoin College with the class of 1890, who studied law with Samuel M. Came of Alfred before being admitted to the bar in 1893. He then moved to Sanford where he practiced law for the remainder of his life.
