F-106s, Loring Air Force Base, Limestone, 1981

Description

Three F-106s take off from the runway past a radar unit at Loring Air Force Base in Limestone in 1981. The base was about to change from a foreward nuclear counterattack station to a conventional warfare center with B-52s that could carry conventional bombs instead of nuclear warheads.
